Terms of Service

Last updated: September 29, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the OneShip platform operated by One Ship Inc. ("OneShip", "we", "us") at oneship.ca and through our apps, extensions, and API. By creating an account or using the service you ("Merchant", "you") agree to these Terms.

1. The service

OneShip provides a multi-carrier shipping platform that lets Canadian e-commerce merchants rate-shop, purchase shipping labels, manifest packages, and sync fulfillment status back to their store. Available carriers and rates change over time and may differ by region.

2. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must be authorized to act on behalf of the business you register, and you may not use the service for unlawful purposes.

3. Billing — postpaid model

OneShip operates on a postpaid credit line. Each time you purchase a shipping label, the cost is reserved against your credit line. At the end of each billing cycle (weekly, biweekly, or monthly depending on your plan) we issue an invoice for all activity in the period and charge your saved payment method via Stripe.

  • Invoices are due on the date specified in the invoice (typically 7-14 days after issue).
  • Past-due invoices accrue dunning emails on a fixed schedule (reminder, final warning, suspension).
  • If an invoice remains unpaid after the suspension date, your account will be suspended and you will be unable to purchase new labels until the balance is settled.
  • Your credit line is set by OneShip and may be adjusted based on payment history.
  • All amounts are in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated. GST or HST is added at the rate of the province the shipment is delivered to, and shipments leaving Canada are zero-rated.

4. Voids and refunds

You may request a void on a shipping label that has not been scanned by the carrier. Voids are processed best-effort; some carriers reject voids after a window (typically 24-48 hours after purchase). When a carrier accepts a void, the corresponding charge is removed from the open invoice or refunded to your wallet if the invoice has already closed.

Carrier-rejected voids are not refundable by OneShip. Disputes relating to lost, damaged, or undelivered shipments are between you and the carrier, subject to the carrier's tariff and claims process — see Section 5.

5. Carrier tariffs and liability

Each shipping carrier has its own published tariff governing service levels, transit times, prohibited contents, and liability limits. By purchasing a label through OneShip, you agree to the applicable carrier's tariff for that shipment.
OneShip acts as a reseller of carrier services. We are not the carrier and do not assume carrier liability for loss, damage, delay, or non-delivery. Claims must be submitted directly to the relevant carrier, although we will assist with information you need to file a claim.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use OneShip to ship items that are prohibited by carrier tariffs or applicable law (including but not limited to firearms, hazardous materials outside their proper handling regime, controlled substances, counterfeit goods, or items that infringe intellectual property rights). We may suspend or terminate accounts engaged in such use without refund.

7. OneShip software

Our Shopify app, Business Central extension, and other integrations ("OneShip Software") are licensed to you, not sold. While your account is active you may install and use the OneShip Software only to access the service for your own business. You may not copy, distribute, sublicense, modify, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer the OneShip Software, or attempt to extract its source code, except to the extent applicable law permits it despite this restriction.

Components we release under an open-source license, such as OneShip for WooCommerce, are governed by that license instead of this section.

8. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance and unscheduled outages can occur. Carrier APIs may also be unavailable from time to time; when a carrier is unreachable we surface the error and you may retry or pick a different carrier.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or as required by law. On termination, you remain liable for any outstanding invoices and any active shipments must complete their journey through the carrier.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OneShip's total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid to OneShip in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or loss of goodwill.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. The courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the service, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms over time. Material changes will be notified to merchants by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
